Computer Addiction (Fixed)


“Computer addicts”, that’s what my family calls me instead of my name. I always begin my day by turning on my computer checking my emails and facebooks. As internet explodes these days, providing many information and entertainment faster and quicker, it became number one source of my entertainment. This essay will talk about the problems that I get from the computer addiction. For example my school grades going down, communication with people have been reduced and health problems caused by computer addiction, and find that one of the solution to the problems is to set the time to play computer.
One of the problems is that my school grades are going down. I spent an average of 10 hours to play computer games.  As a result I’m not able to finish my homework or to study for test. Also I can’t concentrate on class studies, because I always dreaming about games. I found some solutions to this problem. According to Hub pages.com (HUB Pages) setting the boundaries to play computer is one of the solution. To get rid out from this problem I slowly decreased the time I use the computer and later set time, like 1~2 hours maximum for entertainment. I also ask help from my family to control me from playing computer. This solution is very effective because I don’t have to spend a lot of money to seek for professional advisor.
Another problem is the health problem that I get from computer addiction. I was not able to sleep well, and my eye sight became bad, and also I gain weight. To solve this problem, helpguide.org (Help Guide) stated that try to replace the playing computer time to play sports or do healthy activities. By involving many activities with friends I can solve the problem as well as increase the communication with friends.
However, there were some solutions that I’ve done but they weren’t successful. One of them was to just  to stop using the computer, but sudden change in time of playing computer made me more addict to it. While setting the time boundaries allowed me to get more friends at school, able to finish my work on time, and grew many skills by replacing activities instead of playing computer. (HUB Pages) therefore, slowly decreasing the time and setting the time to play computer is the best way to solve computer addiction.

Sleeping late (fixed)

According to Mary Carskadon (2009), students and teenagers should spend nine hours of their night sleeping. Sleeping fewer hours affect students to concentrate in school especially in the morning. I spend a lot of time doing homework, that’s why I’m always sleeping late which happens to be the problem I’m going to discuss for this essay and the solution is to manage the time (make a time table), and I should ask teachers when I don’t understand how to do it.
            Based on Megessays website (2009), teenagers who are trying to get good grades, doing homework, extra activities might lead to sleep loss. Sometimes, they might get stressed about the projects and experiment which affects their health such as memory, chronic pain, and difficulty to control their emotional. To solve the problem, the best solution is to get more sleep and get better sleep. For me, I have a problem with spending many hours doing homework. So this is a plan: I planned to finish my homework in school and finish the project at home because most of the projects are using computer. For example, after 3:10 PM I will go to the canteen and try to finish my homework as fast as I can; for housework and projects, I will do it at home. This would help me to get more sleep and get better sleep!
            One solution that is not recommended is taking extra classes. Taking extra class won’t help me to finish my homework faster, because I spend a lot of time doing homework from the extra class and I will not have time to do my school’s homework. So I tried to solve this problem by asking teacher when I don’t understand and try to finish doing homework in school. The benefits of the solution that I have done are that I can get more sleep, which will allow me to have more time to rest. Also, organizing time or setting the best time will help me to work properly. This essay reminds me how to organize your time and how to get more sleep without being worried about homework.
